Body Language of lying
Interpersonal Communication is a complicated subject. Interacting with someone, especially face-to-face, involves many processes and evaluations. One of the things we all probably do sometimes is deception. This proclivity for insincerity also makes us pay attention to a ton of signals the face and body of our communication partner gives away when interacting. This is the Honors project I did that looked into the Body Language of Lying. I chose this topic as I find it fascinating and I think knowing a little more can help people better evaluate information they are being told. Sometimes words might sound convincing, but the body finds a way to signal the speaker's insincerity. Being able to recognize those signals is crucial for making an informed decision, especially when it comes to deciding who to vote for in the upcoming elections.
